Quick and Easy sexy shimmery eye Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys, I've been wanting to do a tutorial for a while now and it really has been so long!

But finally I've got the chance to do a tutorial for a look that I did in one of the shoot I worked in.

                                                               All you need is:

  • A neutral palette for the neutral day look. (Maybelline Chai Latte or Revlon Copper Spice are good options.)
  • Any coloured long lasting eye pencils. I used Faces Longwear. (Colorbar I-Glides or Ikonic are also good!)
  • Black and white pencils if you want
  • Mascara and fake lashes (optional)
  • Smudger brush/ qtips

Step 1:
Start with whatever neutral eye makeup you want, it can even be just a wash of a neutral shimmer or gold colour.

Step 2:
I applied a purple eye pencil from Faces to my outer V and lower lid.

Step 3:
Use a qtip or smudger/ pencil brush to blend out the edges. Remember to work fast since long lasting pencils set super fast! D:

Step 4:
Now, you can leave it at just one colour but for this look I used green as well on the upper lid.

Step 5:
Smudge it up GOOOD! Lol!

Just keep repeating the two steps till you have something you're happy with! ^_^
Final look:

I used a little white pencil on the inner corner too. ^_^
Easy eh?
I hope this tutorial helped you a bit, I feel like it is a bit redundant but I'm sure you'll be able to use it in a hurry.
I also did this tutorial for girls who have a hard time with makeup and are just beginning.
Most girls don't have colours in eyeshadow but are bound to have some colour pencils right? ^u^

DIY CHARCOAL FACEMASK

I'm going to start off this beauty DIY series with the 2-in-1 Charcoal congestion busting & exfoliating face mask.
I've tried lots of DIY facemasks over the years and only the best have stuck. When I was still at school it was like a little Sunday morning ritual for me to watch Castaway (anyone remember Castaway? Is it still on??) and slather on a homemade facemask. It might've been the lovely glowy skin that comes from living on a desert island seeping into my subconscious, but a good little facemask was the closest I was getting to a sandy beach and sun sun sun!
Now, this isn't the kind of charcoal you put on your barbecue, but big pills (or capsules) you can buy from the chemist or online. This is activated charcoal and it has a huge surface area (one teaspoon has a surface area of more than 10,000 ft) that can absorb up to 10 times its own weight and size in chemicals and toxins. Activated charcoal is one of the main treatments for poisoning in pets and humans, and I've actually found its a brilliant hangover preventer if you take a few pills with lots of water before bed!
For the mask you'll need:
- 3 or 4 Charcoal Pills or Capsules
- 1 teaspoon water
as the charcoal is our main ingredient you can mix it with a variety of other ingredients eg-
- 1 Aspirin tablet
- Tea Tree gel to tone down blemishes  or
- A couple of drops of Glycerine for hydration
The mask above was made with Glycerine and and an Aspirin tablet, my skin has been congested but also quite dry recently so this is the combination I chose. To make your mask, first open the capsules or crush your tablets. The easiest way to crush them is between two teaspoons over your mixing container. The charcoal won't dissolve so you want to make sure you crush it the best you can, as well as drawing out toxins and congestion it will exfoliate the skin so you don't want it too gritty. Next add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well, I added just a teaspoon of water to wet the mixture and a couple of drops of glycerine to hold the hydration onto my skin.
You can put this straight onto clean skin but I like to steam my face for a few minutes first to help it get right into the pores. Also, don't wear white! The mixture is liquid and although it shouldn't be drippy it does get a bit messy to take off.
Apply the mask onto your face with a brush or fingers and let it sit for 5 -10 minutes until it dries, its very very black so don't get it too close to your nostrils or you'll have dark snot for a while after! Once its dry take a wet flannel, muslin cloth, cotton pad (or you can just use your fingers) to remove the mask, this is where the exfoliation comes in and you can massage very gently in small circles on any congested or flaky patches to make your skin super soft.
Once its all washed off your skin should be smooth and completely clean! Because this is a detoxing mask it can bring congestion to the surface so will speed up any breakouts you have and you might notice a few blocked pores unblocking themselves in the next day or two. I like to use this mask at night and follow with a good thick night cream to prolong the smoothness.
Let me know if you try this mask, or have any great DIY recipes yourself!

Best Eye Makeup Products Available In Indian Market

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner:
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner comes in a tiny tub and a specially designed brush. The texture of these liners is very creamy and gives intense lines with smooth and even application. It’s similar to liquid eyeliner, except, it dries faster and lasts throughout the day. It doesn’t tug and can be used as a base for creating smoky eye makeup. It blends smoothly and is thick enough to make your eyes beautiful .You can either apply it heavily or smear it. The only problem I find with them is that they tend to dry with time and the colour is not as black as it should be. I prefer blackest black eyeliners but you can give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Lakme Eye Artist Eyeliner Pen:

Lakme Eye Artist, is felt tip liner, the latest addition to the liner family. A felt tip eyeliner pen is designed for precise application on the eyelids. Lakme Eye Artist is extremely easy to use. The felt tip design is so effortlessly and easily controlled that within just one stroke, the perfect amount of eyeliner is distributed. The line can be made thinner or thicker, sharp or winged, long or short, and so on. You get an intense black colour in just one stroke and it stays on for four to five hours. But the only thing I dislike about it is that it is not water proof. The Lakme Eye Artist is priced at Rs 395 and is available widely across all Lakme counters.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Eye Liner:

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Eye liner, launched in December 2012 is the latest addition to the liquid eye liner family. It comes in a black plastic bottle with long elongated handle. The brush is extremely thin which makes it easier to draw thin lines. It is of black ink colour of runny consistency and gives a glossy finish with just one stroke. Priced at Rs 225 it is a must buy for liquid eyeliners lover.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara:

Maybelline Colossal mascara is my HG mascara. I have been using it for past two years and didn’t feel the need to try any other one. This mascara gives my not so sparse lashes, a major volume and intensifies the look of my lashes. The lashes look great with no smudging and clumping. Just two to three coats and you are done. But it’s quite difficult to remove it and you will need a makeup remover to remove it completely. I find the regular ones better than the waterproof one. Price of Maybelline Colossal Mascara is Rs330.

Faces Long wear Eyeliners:

Pencil Eyeliners are a staple to a girl’s vanity, and is especially good for beginners who find it difficult to draw straight lines. Faces Long wear eye pencils are one of the most popular eye pencils in the Indian Market and are loved by everyone. They have a plethora of shades to choose from:  Purple, Forest Green, Aqua Blue, Gray, Metal Brown, Solid Brown, Turquoise Blue, Solid Black, Sparkle Black, Dark Green and Navy Blue. The colour pay off of these pencils is amazing and all are highly pigmented. The pencils are soft and creamy and give an absolute smudge proof finish. They stay on for an average of six hours on the eyelids. Since they are extremely creamy, they tend to finish off fast. You should try at least one of these eye pencils.

Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer:

An eye primer is a cosmetic that is used to coat the eyelids prior to the application of the eye shadows so that the eye shadow can be applied in a smooth, even layer and stay put on the eyelids for a longer period of time. Faces Metaliglow eye Primer comes in a tube with an elongated wand. It has a slightly wet consistency and gets absorbed in seconds. It does what it claims, it prevents the eye shadow from creasing and smudging and intensifies the shadow colour. It keeps the shadow intact for at least eight hours. They are a bit pricey for Rs 699 and are available at all faces counters and online.

Maybelline Colossal Kajal:

Kajal is the most important makeup in any Indian woman’s vanity and Maybelline’s Colossal Kajal has become an essential in everyone’s vanity chest!

Maybelline Colossal Kajal was launched in 2011 and created a furore in the Indian Market. It is the most popular Kajal in Indian Market right now. Priced at Rs.175, it is quite feasible and delivers what it claims. It is jet black, intense, smudge free and stays put in my eyes for more than six hours. It can be used both on the waterline as well as eyelids. The texture is quite creamy and should be stored in a cool place else it will melt.
The only con I found is that the ingredients are not mentioned any yes the price has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 175.
